Back Pain
It's said that 80% of individuals will have back pain of some sort in their lives. Most back pain is caused through mechanical or non-organic means, as opposed to more serious conditions such as inflammatory arthristis, infection, fracture, or cancer. Although, a full examination is recommended to rule out such conditions, the majority of back pain cases respond well to the chiropractic adjustments. Non-invasive chiropractic care has been shown in government studies to be a safe and effective for the treatment of low back pain.
Neck Pain
We often look at the neck and the back as two separate and distinct entities, forgetting that it is the same vertebral column that runs through both. Your neck is subject to many of the same mechanical disorders that your back is at risk for, such as disk herniations, muscular sprains & strains, nerve root entrapments, etc... Some of these disorders can potentially manifest not only as neck pain, but as headaches too. The same conservative chiropractic treatment that works for your low back is also documented to be highly effective in your cervical spine (neck region) as well.
Athletic Performance
Athletes of all levels, including NFL hall of famer Jerry Rice are using Chiropractic care not only to aid with sports related injuries, but also to enhance athletic performance. Chiropractic ensures that an athlete is as biomechanically efficient as he or she can be with specific adjustments not only in the spine, but in the upper & lower limbs as well. This joint level optimization may assist in creating a non- inhibited range of motion. This leads to more effective muscular control over the joint with potential greater maximal efforts in sport and performance as a result.
Family Care
You don't need to be an athlete to enjoy the benefits of optimizing joint function and efficiency. Keeping in mind that even those who don't consider themselves to be athletes still do activities throughout their day that are "athletic" in nature. i.e. playing with kids, picking up children, house work, walking the dog, carrying bags in from the car, just to name a few. Anecdotally, many of those who receive maintenance care from their chiropractor have reported fewer occurrences of low back and joint pain, then when prior to their commencement of maintenance care.
